More Than Just a Cleaning

A great dental hygienist does far more than clean your teeth. They are typically the first person to spot the earliest signs of cavities, gum disease, or oral cancer.

Because our hygienists work with the same patients for years (often decades), they know your history, your sensitivities, and exactly how you like your appointments. Many of our team members have been with us for 10 to 30 years, building relationships that span generations.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I get a dental cleaning?

Most adults benefit from a professional cleaning every 6 months, though patients with gum disease, implants, orthodontic appliances, or certain medical conditions may benefit from a 3 or 4-month schedule. Your hygienist and dentist will recommend the interval that fits your mouth.

Will I see the same hygienist every visit?

In most cases, yes. Continuity is one of the biggest advantages of our hygiene team. Once you are matched with a hygienist who fits your preferences and schedule, we work to keep you on their book. Patients often stay with the same hygienist for 10 or more years.

Do you offer bilingual hygienists?

Yes. Our team speaks English, Spanish, French, Haitian Creole, and Albanian between them, among other languages. When you schedule, let our team know your preferred language and we will match you accordingly.

Can my child see a hygienist at the same visit as me?

Often, yes. We can coordinate family appointments so parents and children are seen back-to-back in the same building. Kids are typically seen at our Dental Care Kids practice by a pediatric hygienist, while parents see the adult team.

What if I have not been to the dentist in years?

You are welcome exactly as you are, no judgment. Our hygienists are experienced working with patients who have been away from dental care for a long time. Your first visit will focus on a thorough evaluation and a practical plan to get your mouth back to healthy.

Ready to Schedule Your Wellness Visit?

Whether you need a routine cleaning or a specialized evaluation, our team is ready to welcome you. Evening and weekend appointments are available.
