| At Dental Care, there's more to a "cleaning" these days. As usual, your hygienist (Lyne, Rene, or Jamar) will evaluate and investigate the overall status of your teeth and gums. But now there's the "Perio Temp". It allows your hygienist to measure the temperature of your gums to see if you have a "hot spot" (fever in your gums). |
 |
| Generally, if you have a fever it means you're fighting an infection. Therefore, a "hot spot" in your gum indicated an area of infection that is more susceptible to breaking down to periodontal disease. |
Perio-Temp
Lets the hygienist take the temperature of your gums to detect infection before damage occurs. |
If we can find these "hot spots" before a big problem develops, we can help you prevent serious gum disease by using the proper methods or devices.
|
Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
So...do you have any "hot spots"? Let your hygienist take care of you, and hopefully you can all feel proud one day when we take your picture in honor of having no "hot spots!" |
